The
second of two par 5's on this nine measures 577
yards and doglegs to the right at a distance of
300 yards from the tee. The green is certainly reachable
in two if you can carry a hill and get the extra
roll you need to see the green. Be aware of the
deep valley-of-sin just short of the green, which
attracts many errant shots. From this position,
your third shot, being a chip or a putt, will be
extremely difficult. The green is perched on the
edge of a ravine and long and or right is dead.
Choices are certainly available here as there is
a much easier way of arrival. A golfer could opt
to use two long irons followed by a short iron approach.
The green complex is large and its contours are
subtle. Be careful not to allow yourself to get
into the two pot bunkers to the left of the green,
from which recovery will be difficult. |
